May is designated Mental Health Awareness Month to raise awareness about mental health, to fight the stigma associated with mental illness and treatment, and to advocate for policies that support the millions of people in the U.S. affected by mental illness. To highlight Mental Health Awareness month we have pulled together lists of mental health resources including self-help guides, novels, nonfiction, memoirs, graphic novels, trusted websites, and help lines. Please note that these resources are not meant to substitute for professional medical diagnosis and treatment.
